Using Astrology to Reveal the Illusion of Separateness

Instead of predicting events or decoding personality,  astrology is used here to see through the central misunderstanding of human life:

The belief that you are separate from what you experience.

Every technique, every chart, every symbol here points back to one thing: the recognition that what you truly are was never inside or outside, never bound by time, and never touched by what appears within it.

Unquestioned Separateness

Here’s how most of us picture, not just "life," but reality itself:

There’s an inside (“my” thoughts, “my” body, maybe something especially nebulous you might call your “soul.”)

And there’s an outside (the world, other people, work or school, even the stars.)

But if you pull back a little, you can see that everything that can be seen, known, named, or touched, from the thoughts you have to the dinner on your plate, shows up the same way:

As something known inside awareness.

We spend most of life trying to protect the supposed inside and control - as much as possible -  the outside.

Take a Step Back

Now, turn your attention inward. Notice how you talk about yourself.

My body hurts.” “My mind is racing.”

Something in you is always, perpetually standing back, noticing both.

You don't have a body, you have an observed experience of a body.

Your thoughts, desires, and aversions are things that a "you" notices.

Who - or what is it - that says, "my?"

What is this my that sees the body, that sees dreams, and hears thoughts?
It cannot be the mind, because this "my" sees the activity of the mind, so it must precede or come before the mind.

The Nameless Knower

The mind, always seeking to name and control, always grasping for handles, wants to label it this nameless, witnessing knower: “spirit,” “higher self,” “consciousness.”

But as we have already seen, anything that can be identified or named becomes another object inside the picture, inside the aware field of consciousness.

All objects have an end. Thoughts come and go. Feelings come and go. Even the sense of “me” comes and goes — as in deep, dreamless sleep.

But what is it that stays, through every change that arises, peaks, and falls away? Through every coming and going?

It is simple awareness; quiet, steady, and untouched.

You Are That.

Everything you call “outside”—the sky, the stars, the world itself—arises within awareness.
Nothing stands apart from it.

All sounds, sensations, teachings, and thoughts appear and fade, yet the seeing of them never moves.

What you are is that stillness itself.

Astrology meets the mind in its own language (symbols and patterns) to show that the one reading them was never separate from what they describe.

When that separation dissolves, the mirror of astrology is no longer needed.

Where Astrology Belongs

Astrology appears within the same field of awareness as everything else.

Its value is not in mapping cause and effect but in reflection. It shows how the mind builds the idea of a person.

By revealing the patterns of seeking and reaction, it turns attention from what moves to what never moves.

Used rightly, it loosens identity and exposes the reflexes of fear and preference until the sense of a separate self falls away.
